First Brazil Trip

In 1978, Larry and Victor (age 15) traveled to Brazil to work with the Atroadi Indians.  After several failed attempts to get into the area where the Atroadi Indians were, an area which was heavily guarded by the military because the Atroadi killed everyone that entered, Larry and Victor stayed with the family below for a few days to pray before the Lord.  While there the mother asked Larry and Victor to pray for the safe return of her daughter that had run away.

The Lord showed Larry and Victor that the door was closed to the Atroadi Indians at this time and released them to travel back to the capital of the Amazon which is the city of Manaus.  On one of the buses they were traveling in, Larry notice the back of a young girls head and said to Victor, "Victor, the Lord has shown me that the girl in the front of the bus is the daughter of that woman who asked us to pray for her run away daughter."  Larry had never seen a picture of the woman's daughter, but he walked up to the girl in the front of the bus, addressed her by her name and told her that her mother loved her and wanted her to come home.  The girl collapsed in tears and told Larry how she felt her mother could never forgive her for what she had done and how she was afraid to go home.  Larry and Victor led her to the Lord right there and at the next bus stop put her on a bus towards home.  Isn't our God Wonderful!

Here is a picture of Victor with the Girl on the Bus.
